For a long time I have had trouble sleeping. I find it hard to switch off my mind and fall asleep and then I get frustrated when I am tossing and turning. Having suffered from PTSD following a road accident, whilst I had worked on many of my triggers I still had one that bothered me. As a passenger in a car I would get very scared if the driver accelerated quickly or drove fast. I would get a knot in my stomach and have to cover my eyes. During my session with SPHERE™ I focused on this feeling and after the session told my partner to test out whether it had worked. To my absolute shock and surprise when he drove fast (without me knowing in advance) the feelings I had before had disappeared. I was unaffected by my usual trigger, without even realising. I was astounded at how effective just one session was. I did find the effects wore off slightly after a few months, but I think with another few sessions my reactions will normalise completely.

I was planning to go on a trip with my family to the Grand Canyon. My family wanted to take a helicopter ride and I was petrified. I just couldn’t get rid of the anxiety that I felt every time I thought about that helicopter ride. But I didn’t want to spoil it for everyone. During the session my fear and anxiety turned into excitement. I had images of myself soaring over the Grand Canyon feeling serene and awestruck. After I finished the therapy, I couldn’t articulate what a profound experience the session was but now am so excited for my family trip.
